Sormac obtains ISO 27001 certificate

Last week Sormac received its ISO certificate for information security management, also known as ISO 27001. Like other certificates, the ISO is valid for three years. During this period, various checks and information sessions facilitate iterative improvements. After the three year period there will be a recertification.

ISO 27001 is the global information security standard. The standard describes the processes that manage the security of information. Its purpose is to ensure the confidentiality, availability and integrity of information within an organization. A thorough understanding of information security is increasingly important in safeguarding business continuity. Simultaneously, information security is becoming an increasingly relevant topic in customer, supplier, and partner relationships, as well as in project intake processes.

The ISO certificate reflects that Sormac deals with internal as well as client-facing risks in a conscious and responsible manner.

Many thanks to all collaborators, especially our internal audit team. Also thanks to Ger Bother, ISO auditor at TÜV Nederland and Hilbrand Harkema, independent ISO consultant. Only together we can provide a safe information security environment.
